    • When I was working as an accounting assistant in one of our clients’ offices, we had a problem with one of their invoices. The client had sent us the wrong invoice and we couldn’t find it anywhere on our system or on any other computer in the office. After asking around for help from other employees, I decided to call them up and ask what happened with their invoice number so that I could fix it myself. After talking with them for about 10 minutes, they told me that there was an error in their system which caused them not being able to send us this particular invoice number; however, they would still need us to pay them by next week so they could finish their project on time! So now what? We needed those funds now even though technically speaking we didn’t owe them anything yet (since technically speaking no contract was signed). Well fortunately enough my manager had saved some money from previous months’ budgets; these savings were used only during emergencies such as these ones where suddenly something happens unexpectedly which forces us into action mode right away without any prior warning whatsoever…
